A contemporary artist working in Brussels, Belgium exploring different paths through the use of colours and a variety of techniques.
Biography
I have always been attracted by strong colors and abstract shapes and I started drawing with colored pencils and pastels when I was pretty young.
The interest in painting emerged much later at a difficult time in my professional career. This passion is now part of my life as it allows me to move between abstraction, landscapes and nature, human figures and printmaking, exploring the possibilities of using different materials without limiting myself to a single technique.
I do my works both in a professional art studio and my home in Brussels, Belgium.
Four collections
From an exclusive focus on abstract shapes and strong colors, I gradually started introducing figurative elements in some of my works, enjoying the use of darker colours and experiencing the pleasure to represent human figures.
My works combine acrylic and oil paint with pastels, pencils and Chinese ink. Collage, painted photographs, plastic and embroidered cotton introduce further layers into my works, while linoleum engraving opens another space for experiments on paper. The four collections present an interesting body of work shaped by colours, curiosity and experimentation.
